June 2

Obstacle Fun, 9:00-12:30 $75.00 

CEUs IAABC 5.5, IAABC pending

Teams will utilize marker training and positive reinforcement while working with a variety of equipment. Priority will be placed on utilizing creative fun training games to enhance the team connection, build motivation, improve impulse control, increase fitness and build confidence. Additionally focus will be placed on how to read the dog and adjust training to best support the dog's needs and facilitate progress.
Included:

  • Fun, games and a mini obstacle course will include hoops, platforms, buttons, cones, ladders, scooters and more.
  • Instructions for performing a variety of Obstacle Skills exercises
  • Handlers will walk a short Obstacle Skills course and discuss performance and handling tips then take turns performing the course with their canine pal

Prerequisites - Dogs must be familiar with clicker/verbal marker training. Dogs must be able to focus and work in a workshop setting. Dogs should not be barky, disruptive or reactive.


Obstacle Games Trials, 2:00-5:00 (ending time approximate)

Runs may be for fun or as trial runs to earn qualifying scores towards Wag It Games trials. (Dogs must be registered with WIGs for official trial runs)

  • 2 Novice Obstacle Skills Trials
  • 1 Skilled Obstacle Skills Trial

Shadow Skills & Heeling Fun, 9:00-12:30 $75.00
CEUs IAABC 5.5, IAABC pending

Teams will utilize marker training and positive reinforcement while working with a variety of heeling maneuvers. Priority will be placed on utilizing creative fun healing games to enhance the team connection, focus, build motivation, improve impulse control and heeling skills. Additionally focus will be placed on how to read the dog and adjust training to best support the dog's needs and facilitate progress.
Included:

  • Fun and Games with heeling will include a variety of twists, turns, maneuvers and side change exercises as well as a mini course combining the moves.
  • Instructions for performing of a variety of Shadow Skills exercises
  • Handlers will walk the course, practice the course with a human teammate then take turns working a short Shadow Skills Courses.

​Prerequisites - Dogs must have basic heeling skills and be able to focus and work in a workshop setting. Dogs should not be barky, disruptive or reactive.
